What is SIGNAL Productions

We started our journey eight years ago with our first light projection show at the Staroměstský orloj. At the time, we didn’t realize how this project would change our lives so completely and how we could influence other people’s lives so much. We established the SIGNAL Light Festival only five years ago. Today, SIGNAL is the most visited cultural event in the Czech Republic, and not only is Signal Production the organizer and producer of the festival of light, we also host many artistic and commercial activities throughout the year and strive to play an essential role at educational events. We are thrilled to see our daily work influencing the world around us.

New position available

We are looking for an experienced manager and business minded person in the role of COO & Sales Director who will oversee operations, sales & marketing, and managerial & HR functions at Signal Productions. The successful candidate will look after the activities,  production, and execution of events, mainly the Signal Festival, and create and manage Signal strategy and sales & marketing plans to promote brand awareness and the profitability of the Signal Festival organization and its activities.

The COO & Sales Director will work with the Signal team, volunteers, partners, and the Art Director to plan and produce a successful Signal Festival, as well as oversee and plan other Signal Production activities. The user’s main objective will be to stimulate the profitability of Signal Productions and successfully implement managerial processes into an artistic environment in an efficient yet motivational manner.


  • Be an essential executive in the management team together with the CEO and Art Director
  • Create business plans and a sales strategy to achieve the objectives set by the CEO of the Festival / Management Board (CEO, COO, AD) under the company’s overall scheme
  • Manage the team, partners, and volunteers to encourage successful execution of all Signal Production events
  • Grow sponsorship and partnership incomes – managing the strategy, processes, and team
  • Create and oversee execution of the marketing plan with the marketing and comms team
  • Maintain oversight of operations and budget to ensure prudent fiscal management
  • Direct and oversee investments and fundraising efforts
  • Review reports by subordinate managers to gain insight
  • Represent the organization together with the Festival’s CEO
  • Administer HR activities, including staff recruitment, staff development and evaluations, policies and contracts
  • Set and implement internal processes – KPIs, bonus structure, HR policies etc.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally, including with supporters, partners, funders, and donors, and engage and inspire new participants
  • Create partnership programs (events, experience, status etc.)

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of significant project leadership and event production

  • A minimum of 5 years of team leadership and management
  • Fluent in the English language
