Light Paintings / 2015

/PT/ Ocubo is an international reference in the areas of video mapping and projections, with projects presented worldwide. It is also the producer of the largest multimedia projections on buildings in Portugal. Ocubo organizes every year the LUMINA Light Festival, in which during three magical nights more than 500.000 people visit Cascais, immersed in a world of color, light, multimedia and interactivity! Founders of Ocubo, Nuno Maya and Carole Purnelle, have a constant concern with the communication with the audience and interactivity, making the spectator a participant of their artistic pieces.

A multimedia installation Light Paintings invites the audiences to paint facades of buildings with light using an interactive platform on site. Included within the European Commission’s program Spectrum 14|15 Light Paintings will allow citizens from five different European countries to share their culture with the other four. On this occasion, a model of the Lisbon’s iconic “Arch of Victory” traveled to Prague, giving Signal’s participants the opportunity to paint one of best known Portuguese landmark.
