Starting May 14, 2026, we invite you to our sister digital art gallery, Signal Space, for the exhibition Dream On! Where it all began. Join us for a journey back to the roots of a story that began with a single bold dream and grew into the largest cultural event in the Czech Republic.
Before we light up Prague again from October 15 to 18, we are opening an exhibition at Signal Space that takes us back to the very beginning of Signal Festival. It recalls the moments, places, and works that defined Signal as you know it today—while also introducing a theme we will fully explore during this year’s edition.
St. Ludmila’s Basilica → the landmark where it all began
The centerpiece of the exhibition is this basilica in Prague’s Vinohrady district, a favorite among visitors. It was “at Ludmila’s” that the first festival video mapping took place in 2013, and since then, its façade has become one of the most iconic stages of the Signal Festival.
As part of Dream On!, we’ll revisit the six most popular video mappings that have been projected onto the basilica in the past. Each one showcases a different approach to architecture, light, sound, and technology—from abstract visual compositions to futuristic visions of the city as a living organism. We’ll be projecting onto a two-meter-tall model, in front of which you’ll feel as though you’re on Náměstí Míru in the fall.

The first chapter of this year’s festival theme
Dream On! is not just a look back. It is the first chapter of a story that we will fully unveil in October during the Signal Festival 2026. This year’s theme, Dream On! Dreams and Visions, takes us to a world where reality dissolves, the boundaries between reality and dreams blur, and the city once again becomes a space for the imagination.
Dreams change cities. And cities change the people who dream within them.
Come see where it all began.
The exhibition Dream On! Where it all began opens at Signal Space on May 14, 2026. It is included with all tickets to the main exhibition, Echoes of Tomorrow purchased on or after this date. A separate ticket is available for 99 CZK.
