About project

The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague invites visitors to How Do Chemists Dream?, a live performance that transforms chemical experiments into a spectacular display of light and sound. The 15-minute show features coloured flames, chemiluminescence, experiments with liquid nitrogen, and other striking demonstrations revealing the beauty of chemical processes. The presentation also includes interactive exhibits that respond to sound, alongside gradually growing chemical structures.

This year’s festival theme, Dream On! Dreams and Visions, invites audiences to imagine the future and push the boundaries of technological and scientific possibility. Student Visions offer a glimpse into the experimental laboratories of a new generation of artists, designers and scientists. Four selected student projects bring together art, technology and scientific research, presenting their latest work through performances, projections, objects and interactive environments.

Location

Technická Street is part of Kampus Dejvice, a collaborative initiative bringing together the National Library of Technology, the Czech Technical University in Prague, the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, Charles University, the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Prague 6 Municipal District. The aim of Kampus Dejvice is to create a vibrant environment that supports academic, scientific and social life, making the area an attractive destination for students, researchers, educators and the wider public alike. Throughout the year, Technická Street and neighbouring Studentská Street host a wide range of cultural and community events. Student Visions is one of them.
