Pavla Sceranková (CZ/SK)
Pavla Sceranková is a leading Czech artist whose work reflects a deep engagement with the role of art in a world continually confronted by ongoing crises. She reflects on her capacity as an artist to engage with the world around her. Her long-standing artistic focus lies in exploring the physical relationship between object and sculpture. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where she completed her doctoral studies in 2011. Today, she co-leads the Studio of Intermedia Art at AVU with Dušan Zahoranský. Sceranková has presented her work in numerous solo exhibitions, including at the Fait Gallery in Brno, Pump House Gallery in London, the Moravian Gallery in Brno, and the City Gallery Prague. In 2015, she became a finalist for the Jindřich Chalupecký Award for the second time.
