Filip Müller (CZ) → Boat Vyšehrad – SIGNAL boat for travels to light

About project

The boat Vyšehrad celebrates 75 years from its first trip and applies for status of national culture monument. During the SIGNAL festival 2013 the most modern technologies for illumination of monuments and buildings connected with the unique historical boat. Vyšehrad itself becomes a giant reflector illuminating everything in its neighborhood. Because it sails the Vltava River, the light travels together with the boat.

About artist

After his studies of electro-technics at the Czech Technical University Filip Müller has worked for Philips society, where he is in charge of architectural lighting and light design. Since 2010 he has collaborated with light festivals in Jablonec nad Nisou (2010), “Septembeam” (2011) or in Olomouc (2012), but his projects were also presented in Prague in the past years.  His aim is to establish light art as an independent art-technical discipline in the Czech Republic and that is why he regularly attends workshops, conferences, and presentations for light design beginners.
