About project

Movement is not a direction, but a state of transformation. An endless stream where light, data, and form are constantly rearranged. Every impulse leaves an echo, a memory trace that spreads through space and time. Fragments of Mercedes-Benz car design elements drift freely, repeating as echoes of shapes, reflecting, and dissolving into shimmering light. The silhouettes of vehicles appear only for a fraction of a second, like a fleeting memory that fades before we can grasp it. Matter loses its boundaries, seamlessly shifting into movement without beginning or end. Movement is not a direction, but a state of consciousness.

Artist

This captivating image was created by the collective Autotelic, led by visual artist Amar Mulabegović. Amar is a multimedia creator and co-founder of the studios The Macula and Hyperbinary, both specializing in light installations, video mapping, and large-scale projections. Together with Martin Pošta, he was among the founders of Signal Festival.

The sound design was created by musician and composer Filip Míšek. A member of the band Khoiba, he also releases solo albums under the name Dikolson and composes film scores, including A Certain Kind of Silence (2019) and Fugue (2018), which premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and received several nominations, among them Best Music at the Polish Film Awards (Orły). Míšek also composes music for theatre and dance productions.

Signal Creative is an independent creative studio based in Prague and one of the country’s leading producers of new art. It specialises in original video mappings, light design, and artistic objects in public space. The studio also creates original presentations for companies worldwide.

Location

An oasis of calm in the heart of Prague’s tourist centre, the Klementinum is the city’s second-largest building complex after Prague Castle. Located near Charles Bridge, it originally served as a Jesuit college and gradually grew into an important hub of learning and culture. Albert Einstein once lectured here on introductory physics, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart performed here several times. Its centrepiece is the Baroque Astronomical Tower, offering a unique view of Prague. The complex also houses the magnificent Baroque Library Hall, considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Today, the Klementinum is home to the National Library of the Czech Republic, which preserves millions of volumes and precious manuscripts – a place where history, education, and art come together.
