Recapitulation of Signal Festival 2018 and top 5 of this year’s installations

18. 10. 2018

Hundreds of thousands of you saw from the Thursday (October 11) until Sunday (October 14) streets of Karlín, the center and Vinohrady illuminated by Signal Festival installations. The new Karlín route has been a success for you, so you will probably find it on the festival map next year.

We introduced you the works of art of established Czech artists and young talents, you could also enjoy the installations of the most popular foreign visual artists nowadays. This year, 19 light artworks that you saw in the premiere were created. Video mappings brightened up facades of the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Karlin Square, St. Ludmila’s Church in náměstí Míru and Kasárna Karlín. Five installations in the Gallery Zone offered a more intimate atmosphere, just like our Satellites. The musically-oriented off program brought you a physical experience through the combination of organs, lights and pendulum in Salvator Church. You could also immerse yourself in the noise of the sea waves in CAMP.

Based on your feedback, we have created a selection of the top five most popular installations of this year:
