Discover unique locations and the best of digital art
Behind walls inaccessible to ordinary visitors, Signal INSIDE presents seven installations in architecturally unique spaces, where digital art meets history to create a unique experience.
You will enter a monastery, synagogue, palace, or chapel, which for four nights will be transformed into gateways to other realities. Signal INSIDE offers an up-close encounter—with art, with space, and with ourselves. It will be an experience you will only have the opportunity to enjoy once.

Josep Poblet → Lux Domus
Just a short walk from the Church of St. Ludmila is the Archbishop’s Grammar School, which includes a unique chapel built in 1937–1938 designed by architect Tomáš Šašek. A calming installation awaits you, where you can walk among the lights and enjoy the functionalist space to the fullest.
As we walk through this labyrinth of light, we begin to notice how even small changes in light or minor interactions completely change our perception of space.
Robert Seidel → MLHA
The Clam-Gallas Palace is one of Prague’s most striking Baroque monuments. There are not many Baroque palaces in the world that have been preserved in such excellent condition, providing an insight into the life of an aristocratic family at that time.
The dynamic interplay between the original Baroque and contemporary digital aesthetics transforms the entire courtyard into a complex hybrid space charged with energy. Video projections with powerful sound intertwine with thick layers of fog, drawing viewers into a world where the power of technology and light gradually increases.

Jan Poš → The Myth of Hyperreality
As part of Signal INSIDE, we also want to introduce talented Czech artists. Jan Poš is a young artist whose current work deals with the issue of real and virtual environments. He explores their mutual relationship and disrupts the boundaries between them. To do this, he uses 3D computer programs to create various simulations and then materialize them in real space.
In the Klausen Synagogue, the physical and digital worlds merge into an experimental laboratory. The installation explores the phenomenon of hyperreality—a state in which it is no longer possible to clearly distinguish between the real and the virtual. Visitors find themselves in the role of scientists-archaeologists who uncover hidden processes inside a mysterious meteorite object.

Bill Viola→ Tristan’s Ascension (The Sound of a Mountain Under a Waterfall)
The monumental video installation in the Church of St. Salvator in the Convent of St. Agnes is a symbolic image of the soul in the space after death. The body of a man lies on a stone slab in an empty concrete room. Small drops of water leave the ground and rise up into space. They start as a light rain, but soon turn into a roaring flood, and the water carries the limp body upward with its energy. The boundaries between life and death are one of Viola’s major themes.
We are grateful to be able to exhibit the work of this video art legend at the Signal Festival.

Viktor Konvalinka & Štěpán Benyovszký → Lone Soul Disco
The disco as a triumph of movement, light, and sound—a pulsating ecosystem in which individuals give free rein to their hunger for life. But what if it fails? It turns into a decaying jungle where dancers wander among illusions of ideal partners and repeat the comical ritual of searching for a soul mate.
The dance performance combines Viktor Konvalinka’s choreography with Štěpán Benyovszký’s theme, Dan Tesař’s lighting design, and Jan Šikl’s music. The result is a hypnotic experience that oscillates between euphoria and melancholy – a never-ending iteration of rhythms, movements, and relationship dynamics.
