A year later, we met again in Mikulčice for a local discussion focused on the Soutok Protected Landscape Area. Together with experts, artists, and the local community, we explored topics such as archaeology, art in the landscape, and water as a key element of the local environment. The discussion was built on last year’s artpiece Confluence, which was created for the Signal Festival as part of the European Co-Vision project.

More about the project
Co-Vision brings together art, research, and local experience across Europe. The project involves eight artistic and four technical partners and is gradually producing eight new works focused on the natural heritage and ecological phenomena of various European locations. The artistic partners include Videocittà, Athens Digital Arts Festival, Eufònic, Rencontres Audiovisuelles, Signal Festival, KIKK Festival, Lab 852, and Transylvania Trust.
Our contribution to the project
Our contribution to the project in 2025 was the audiovisual work Confluence by Marie Tučková, Katarina Gryvul, David Přílučík, and the duo Selmeci Kocka Jusko. The project focused on the unique ecosystem of the confluence of the Morava and Dyje rivers and explored the relationship between the landscape, the memory of the place, and contemporary interventions in the environment. Following its premiere at the Signal Festival, the project continues to be presented in an international context.

What awaits us this year?
The Co-Vision project will continue at this year’s Signal Festival. This time, it will feature an interactive workshop that explores environmental themes in a different format and makes them more accessible to children and families. We look forward to sharing more details with you soon.
In the meantime, you can watch our video from the protected landscape area and the local discussions, which will give you a sense of the fragility of this unique landscape.
