Support of young Czech art is crucial for us, thus we have announced the Signal Calling open call for the third time. The jury, composed of representatives of the Signal Festival’s artistic council and PrusaLab, this year’s co-organizer of the opencall, was choosing from 19 projects. The quality, idea, originality and technical design of the projects were evaluated.
And the winner is…
… young architects Petr Vacek and Adam Cigler! They were connected by studies at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture in Liberec and a common enthusiasm for space, science and advanced technologies. A motto design — code — make accurately captures their fascination with a combination of creative art process and advanced technologies.
They will present the Reflexis project at the Signal Festival. This sci-fi object, consisting of moving mirrors, absorbs and morphs the viewer’s reflection according to its own scenario. The visitor, who becomes a part of the installation, thus gets a chance to reflect on himself, society and the past.
Congratulations to the winners and we are looking forward to creating their installation. You will be able to see it with your own eyes — from 10th to 13th October 2019 as part of the main programme of the Signal Festival.
