Signal Festival shines a spotlight at a new generation of artists.
Through the technological and creative open call Signal Calling and curatorial visits supported by the PPF Foundation, we help Czech artists to break through not only at home but also on the international scene.
As summer approaches, the season of diploma and degree exhibitions at art schools is getting underway. So, in addition to the winner of this year’s Signal Calling, we’re also bringing you tips on where to go to see young art around the country.

Signal Calling 2025 → We have a winner!
This year’s winner of the open call Signal Calling, organized in cooperation with PrusaLab, Josef Průša’s prototype workshop, is Antonín Kindl – a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. In his work, Antonín combines technology with art, creates “living” electronic organisms and explores the limits of human perception.
His installation EYE will be presented on 16th of October at Signal Festival – an interactive object inspired by computer vision and machine learning will react to its surroundings and invite viewers to think about how a machine perceives the world.

Diploma thesis at the festival → Jan Poš and the Myth of Hyperreality
Another talent will also be presented at this year’s Signal Festival – Jan Poš, a student of AVU in the Socha 2 studio, who is working on the installation The Myth of Hyperreality. In the environment of a fictional research site you will be able to feel like scientists uncovering the secrets of the digital world.
