Multimedia programme in a unique atmosphere

The Museum of the Capital City of Prague will exceptionally open the doors of its main building in Florenc to visitors for a multimedia and multi-genre theatre project Emotional Memory by Laterna magika. The company will celebrate its 65th anniversary.

Kateřina Šedá will then create a brand new route for the festival on Lyčkovo Square, which you will be able to follow next year, but what awaits you this year? Follow pacificpraguetrail.cz

Interactive installation

Thermal Drift, a work by Mexican-Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, will allow you to watch real time images created by your body temperature, captured by a system of thermal cameras. Don’t miss it on Lyčkovo Square.

In the FLUX 2023 installation, Polish studio Ksawery Komputery is looking for the limits and boundaries of digital interaction and how to push them. Thanks to the generous dimension of programmable LEDs and immersive music, you are in for a truly unique experience.

Bright young artists

The open call Signal Calling, co-organised with PrusaLab, Josef Prusa’s prototype workshop, was won this year by Nexus, an installation algorithmically growing in time and space. The authors of the project, which won the Signal Calling open call, are Lukáš Dřevjaný and Luboš Zbranek; the original concept was also co-created by Michal Mitro and David Minařík.

The winner of this year’s Neon Prize is Karim Tarakji. His work Red Shift uses nanomaterials to highlight the necessity of play and fun in work, research, creation and everyday life. The patron of the competition is Pražská plynárenská.

Exploring the Holešovice horizon

The biggest work of this year’s edition found its place on the other side of the river, in the Holešovice Market Hall. Just cross the newly opened Štvanická footbridge and you will see the imaginary Horizon line by Spanish creators Playmodes flooding Hala 13.

Fun for kids and adults alike

Enjoy a projection by Entangled Others called Sediment Nodes, which explores the life of sediment full of colour and form, right at the Kooperativa’s headquarters, which is also a patron of the work created using artificial intelligence.

The Church of Sts Cyril and Methodius will be stirred by Echo, a video mapping by Japanese studio Flightgraf, revealing the connection between man and nature and natural processes invisible to the eye. You can shorten the wait between video mappings with an interactive game by Mercedes-Benz.
