Laterna magika (CZ) – Miřenka Čechová, Erik Bartoš

Laterna magika is one of the first multimedia theatres in the world, created as a representative project of the Czechoslovak Republic for the international exhibition Expo 58 in Brussels. Throughout its history, Laterna magika has established itself as a unique theatre project that stands on the border of several theatrical forms including drama, movement theatre and formal experiments with the latest technologies. Currently, the artistic director of the theatre is the award-winning creator, director, choreographer and mime artist Radim Vizváry.

Miřenka Čechová is a performer, choreographer, director and writer, currently one of the most prominent personalities of experimental dance and physical theatre. She founded the theatre companies Spitfire Company and Tantehorse, with which she has staged original performances from the USA to Japan. Most often she creates multi-genre and multi-media works in which she transcends the conventions of traditional theatrical forms and movements.

Erik Bartoš is a visual artist. He works in the field of multimedia art, 2D/3D animation, video mapping and immersive physical installations. He collaborates with Lunchmeat Studio, National Theatre, Farm in the Cave and other, mostly theatre, directors.
