  • What is free of charge this year?

    Most of the festival programme.

  • Where do I need to buy a ticket?

    Paid installations are located in the Industrial Palace, Planetarium, Hauch Gallery and Convent of St. Agnes. This year you can pay in cash or by credit card. In addition, there will be admission fee for some events which are part of the off programme.

  • How much are the tickets?

    It pays off to buy your ticket in advance. You can buy the Festival Pass at a favourable price in advance from September 1st for 200 CZK, later, from September 21st for 250 CZK. The box office price is 300 CZK. This year we have a novelty – a family ticket (for 2 adults and up to 3 children). The family pass is on sale from September 1st for 600 CZK, from September 21st for 750 CZK and on the spot for 900 CZK. Children aged 6-15 and seniors over 65 have a 50 CZK discount off the basic ticket price. Children aged 0-6 and handicapped persons + 1 escort are free of charge.

  • What is the Signal Pass?

    A single ticket valid for 3 paid installations and the 3D immersive projection. It is valid over the duration of the festival and offers the best way to fully enjoy Signal Festival.

  • How and where can I pick up my Signal Pass?

    You have two options. Just choose:

    I want to start with 3D videomapping: You can exchange the on-line ticket for the Signal Pass band and 3D glasses at the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds box office in front of the Industrial Palace and head to the nearby projection. We are open from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m.

    I want to start in the Gallery Zone:

    You can get the Signal Pass band daily from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m. at any box office in the Gallery Zone (i.e. Planetarium, Convent of St. Agnes and Hauch Gallery) or at our info points (daily from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Old Town Sqaure and from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m. at the box office in the Industrial Palace). 3D glasses will be distributed before entering the 3D mapping projection in front of the Industrial Palace.

  • Can I see the 3D immersive projection only?

    Certainly. You can also buy a single ticket for the projection in the Industrial Palace. The ticket costs 100 CZK and you can only buy it on the spot. The price is the same for all visitors. The visitor will obtain the ticket and the 3D glasses at the the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds box office. The ticket for this installation can also be obtained at all our info points (the Old Town Square and Holešovice Exhibition Grounds box office).

  • What discounts do you offer?

    Children up to 6 years are free of charge. Children aged 6-15 and seniors over 65 have a 50 CZK discount from the basic ticket price. Children aged 0-6 and handicapped persons + 1 escort are free of charge.

  • How can I pay?

    However you like. This year we accept cash or credit card payments.

  • Is the off programme charged?

    Tickets must be purchased separately for curated Signal Walks and special audiovisual performances Vektroskop at the Archa Theater. You can find all the information here: signalfestival.com/en/tickets. The rest of the off program is free.

  • What if I don’t understand any of this information and want to ask somebody for help?

    No problem. Stop by any time between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. at any of the festival info points at the Old Town Square or the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds.

  • Will I be safe at the festival?

    For sure. To enter the indoor installations of the festival, it is necessary to have a face mask. However, please always wear it as a precaution, even in case of outdoor installations. Furthermore, we have shortened the time for which visitors stay in one place as much as possible, and with it the length of installations that run in a loop. We also plan very strict hygiene measures for the staff you meet at the festival.

  • What else can I do to protect myself?

    You can protect yourself as well as the people around you. Wash your hands regularly, use disinfectant, keep your distance and, last but not least, follow The Ten Commandments of the Visitor.

    1. I AM INFORMED

    I am actively interested in the rules and recommendations, before and after the event. If I am asked, I communicate with the organizer.

     

    1. I AM FIT

    I do not attend any event if my temperature is higher than 37 °C or I feel any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (headache, breathing difficulty, running nose, cough, fatigue, loss of smell etc.)

     

    1. CLOTHES

    I change into a new set of clothes before the event.

     

    1. GREETING

    I do not shake hands with unknown people, I greet them with my elbow, leg or a gesture.

     

    1. DISTANCING

    I keep my distance and respect personal space.

     

    1. FACE MASKS

    In case of any regulations requiring the use of face masks or respirators for the given space or area, I respect these regulations and wear my face mask or respirator, I exchange my face mask regularly (max. after 3 hours of usage).

     

    1. HYGIENE

    I wash my hands often and thoroughly. If I cannot do so, I use disinfectant. I minimize contact with surrounding items.

     

    1. RESPONSIBILITY

    I follow the rules and instructions of the organizer.

     

    1. CONSIDERATION

    I am considerate to others. “I protect you; you protect me.”

     

    1. FEEDBACK

    If I observe any symptoms or test positive in the 14 days following the event and am quarantined by the organ of public health protection, I inform the organizer immediately.

  • Are the installations safe for epileptics?

    The flashing lights and effects of some installations can cause photosensitive epileptic fits in sensitive persons. Please consider your participation with respect to your health.

    The list of installations that are, unfortunately, unsuitable for epileptics: location the Industrial Palace, location Planetárium, location Karlín Square.

  • When should I go to the festival?

    The festival will take place from Thursday 15 October to Sunday 18 October 2020. The programme runs from 19:00 to 24:00. Exceptions are some events and installations within the off program.

  • Where can I find the map this year?

    You can find the festival map on our new website, in the Programme section. You can also view the map on the display of your smartphone. Visit our website www.signalfestival.com/en/map and choose your desired festival location.

  • What if I prefer a printed copy of the map?

    No problem. Together with our partner, Deník N newspaper, we are preparing a special edition containing a reliable festival guide which will be available during the course of the festival. You can find it at our info point at the Old Town Square. We are going to introduce the best of our programme, stories of the artistic installations, and you can keep the printed map on you at all times. Nothing beats the possibility to take your ball-point pen and noting down the desired installations or projections, does it?

  • Will there be no app this year?

    You can find the new festival map on our website (in the Programme section). Simply put, the app is no longer necessary.

  • Is there really nothing planned for Náměstí Míru this year?

    Sadly, there isn’t. We left Náměstí Míru in 2018. We like to test new locations and new experiences. Thus, you can discover Prague in a new light elsewhere and from a new perspective. But don't despair, we will return to Ludmila in the coming years!

  • Where does it take place this year?

    The best way to find your way around is through our map: signalfestival.com/en/map. This year, the festival will take place on three routes - Karlín, Staré Město and newly also Holešovice.

  • How to reach us?

    Best to use public transport, e.g. the following metro stations – Staroměstská, Vltavská and Křižíkova. You can also find your way from these tram stops – Výstaviště Holešovice, Karlínské náměstí or Staroměstská.

  • Where will I park?

    If you are not from Prague, try to use some of the park-and-ride facilities and reach the city centre with public transport.

  • How do I move about?

    To be honest, the best way is to enjoy the festival on foot.

  • Where can I eat and drink?

    This year we are introducing the new Festival Bar. It is situated in Hala 40 on the premises of the Prague Market and it will be open during the opening hours of the festival (or even longer), i.e. from 7 p.m. to 12 p.m. You can also enjoy the catering zones in Karlín and the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds.

  • Is there anything the kids may like to see?

    Certainly! Signal Festival is attractive for all generations of visitors. This year we have also prepared an installation in the Karlín Hauch Gallery called Playground, which focuses on our playful young visitors.  We also recommend the new route through Holešovice as suitable for our young visitors.

  • Can I take my dog with me?

    Every four-legged friend loves an evening stroll through the city. However, Signal Festival is a huge event full of people, lights and sounds. We recommend leaving your animal friends at home and tell them all about your experience later. They are forbidden to enter all indoor gallery spaces.

  • Are the installations barrier-free?

    Yes. The festival locations are selected with respect to their accessibility.

  • Do you act sustainably?

    We try to. We separate the waste and so can you. We stopped using disposable plastics, we do not produce pointless promotional materials from unsustainable materials. The topic of this year’s festival is Plan B. Together with our artists, we look into the future, seek for new possibilities of human life on planet Earth. We address the environmental consequences of human behaviour, ask questions and try to be environment-friendly. We will be delighted if you join us.

  • Do you have any promotional items?

    This year we do not. We have decided not to produce any extra waste. We will be happy if you remember us in your photos, experiences and shared stories on social networks. During the festival, you may see some vendors selling luminescent balloons and other peculiar items. Please know that they do not belong to us and we do not support this activity.

  • What can I look forward to?

    This year’s programme offers 3 festival routes, 12 locations and 15 artistic displays. The brand-new route through Holešovice will add to the popular Karlín and Old Town classics. You can also look forward to the popular videomapping on the walls of the Church of Ss. Cyril and Methodius at Karlín Square and a new 3D immersive projection in the Industrial Palace at the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds, , as well as the bountiful accompanying events programme in the Prague Market, Hauch Gallery and Archa Theater.
