The Organik project was created by linking the innovative musical dramaturgy of the Struny podzimu and unique visual content of the SIGNAL Festival.

Church organ will be played by the organ player and composer, Katta. The music composed live is suggestive and evokes hypnotic sound landscape whose progressive or even cosmic sound is created exclusively by sound possibilities of classical church organs. The audience seated on church benches will be from time to time left in doubts whether they still hear the sound of the organ or if it is more likely a synthesizer. Though all sound effects are created analogously.

The lighting element of the project is the work of artists from BLOK_4. They made use of a magnificent vertical mirror-like film reflecting the depth of the entire space, and a pendulum in the centre of which there is a pulsating lighting source. In this way they connected the altar towards which the audience is looking with the organ situated behind their back. A unique kinetic installation flows through the middle part of the church nave and along with the sound of the organ as well as breathtaking architecture of the church it enables the audience to enjoy almost physical experience.

Artist

Organ player and composer Katta has won international acclaim in the world of classical music as an organ virtuoso and cembalist. However, as an organ player she stands out: she composes her own original music in which she often uses her voice, opens news sound worlds and shows new sound perspectives of the organs in the 21st century.

BLOK_4 is represented by Tomáš Bukáček, Luboš Rezler, Filip Marek and Adam Mach. They focus on experimental film, audio-visual installations and performances, and their work is characteristic for a very perceptive approach to space, materials and both temperature and electric lighting sources.
