Signal AR is still here! Take a trip to Karlín to see it.

24. 6. 2022

In 2021, we prepared unique augmented reality installations for you and made the Signal Festival a year-round affair. We have great news for you! You can still visit Signal AR, daily from 8 am to 7 pm in Karlín, Prague. There are a total of 5 audiovisual installations. It will take you about 1 hour to walk around.

What do you need? Just download the Signal Festival app on your phone. Then log in via email and check if your phone supports AR core – the app will show you the AR section if it does. Then head over to Karlín, where you can scan the Signal sign and start exploring the unique art hidden in augmented reality.

Signal AR was created in response to a global pandemic. We joined forces with Brainz, bicepsdigital, and artists to create a unique virtual gallery in a public space.

What exactly will you see in Karlín?

BRAINZ IMMERSIVE → Horizon Forbidden West

The installation was created to launch one of the most anticipated games of this year, Horizon Forbidden West. Located at the Negrelli Viaduct, you have a unique opportunity to enter the desolate and mysterious world of this game.

Jan Hladil & Michal Šupák → FIGURA VARIUS

Music lovers will also enjoy the installation by visual artist Jan Hladil and composer Michal Šupák. The artists have joined forces to create a unique audio-spatial abstract and geometric installation on the Kooperativa headquarters building.

Longiy → The Visitors

At the next stop, through Signal AR, you will meet a flock of strange creatures who have left the digital ocean of their own dimension and entered our world through the portal at Karlín Square.

AOKU → XY#1

In the premises of River City Karlín you will encounter a colony of diverse creatures – you can give rise to their offspring of the next generation, crossbreed them with the creations of others and observe the genetic swarming as in a crazy petri dish.

Jan Kaláb → Mechanical Galaxy

Jan Kaláb returns to public space with his installation Mechanical Galaxy. His work explores the possibilities of street art in a new medium on Lyčkova Square.

AOKU → XY#2

At Corso Court you will continue your experiment in a new colony of diverse creatures with a unique character. Celebrate with us the diversity and uniqueness of all living forms by combining these creatures and giving them new life.

You can see the installations until the opening of this year’s Signal Festival, which will take place on 13-16 October in the streets of Prague. Join the Facebook event so you don’t miss anything about the event!
